Tactics

When contracts were awarded in this country and sector, usually only one or two bids came in. A solid bid has a real chance here. (Based on 104 completed awards — not a statement about this procedure.)

This procedure allows 31 days between publication and deadline — typical in this country is 32 (median of 20,496 procedures). A normal window for this market.

Foreign bidders

In Germany, 6,022 contracts went to foreign companies over the last 3 years (of 725,088 recorded awards) — mostly from Austria, Poland, Italy.

Submission language: German, English.

Measured from linked award data; foreign winners bidding through a local subsidiary count as domestic — the true share is higher.
