The subject of the invitation to tender is the complete renewal of the lift system at the Viehofer Platz underground station in Essen. The existing hydraulically operated lift system shall be replaced by an electrically operated rope hoist. Existing shaft frameworks, enclosures and supporting structures must be preserved as far as possible; there is no provision for the existing pit or head to be enlarged. … assembly, commissioning and acceptance of the complete lift system including the car, drive, control, doors, lighting, safety devices, emergency call and communication technology as well as the necessary interfaces to the existing infrastructure and network control technology. The existing elevator system is out of service. The dismantling and professional disposal of the old system including hydraulic stamps and existing elevator enclosure as well as the necessary waste disposal certificates are part of the scope of services. The contractor must carry out an inventory and dimensional check before execution and prove the technical feasibility of the conversion, taking into account the existing structural conditions. The main technical characteristics of the new lift are: Load capacity 1,000 kg, nominal speed 1.0 m/s, conveying height approx. 6.585 m, 2 stops and 2 accesses, clear door dimensions 900 x 2,100 mm. The existing drive shaft has dimensions of approx. 2,100 x 2,750 mm; the existing clear pit depth is approximately 1,305 mm and the clear pit head height is approximately 3,650 mm. The scope of services also includes all necessary workshop, assembly, execution and inventory documents, technical proofs, approvals, tests and acceptances, in particular the prescribed safety tests, the test according to DGUV regulation 3 and the acceptance according to § 5 BOStrab, as far as necessary. The complete plant documentation including test and acceptance documents must be handed over. In addition, the conclusion of a maintenance contract for inspection and maintenance, including troubleshooting and other services for the elevator systems, is part of the tender. The maintenance contract provided for this purpose is attached to the tender documents and must be completed in full by the tenderers and signed in a legally binding manner with the tender. Execution is planned for December 2026 by the end of July 2027 at the latest.
