Hankinnan kohteena on puhe- ja asiakaspalvelualustojen ylläpitopalvelu ja alustaan liittyvät lisäpalvelut, tuotteet ja lisenssit tämän tarjouspyynnön sekä sen liitteissä esitettyjen ehtojen mukaisesti. Puhe- ja asiakaspalveluratkaisut koostuvat pääasiassa Mitel konsernin tarjoamista tuotteista, sisältäen useita puhelinvaihde- ja contact center-järjestelmiä sekä muita kiinteisiin vaihdepalveluihin liittyviä ratkaisuja. Hankinnan kohdetta on kuvattu tarkemmin liitteissä. Tilaajalla on oikeus ostaa hankinnan kohdetta myös osaksi omaa palvelutuotantoaan, jolla palvelua tuotetaan Tilaajan asiakkaille. Hankinnan tavoite on löytää Istekki Oy:lle (jäljempänä myös "tilaaja" ja "hankintayksikkö") kustannustehokas toimittaja olemassa olevien puhe- ja asiakaspalvelujärjestelmien ylläpitämiseksi, laajentamiseksi ja kehittämiseksi.
