What the buyer is looking for
The contract concerns the carrying out of mowing and hay works on extremely vulnerable barren wet peatland parcels for which the risks of soil compaction in the longer term with sustained mowing management, even with tracked vehicles, are too great to ensure an optimal conservation status of the natural target images. These are the most valuable and vulnerable parts of larger grassland complexes that are mowed with other equipment (usually crawler mowers), either by own ANB workers or by contractors. The mowing works can be carried out with a motoculteur with knife bar or gantry mower. The picking up and collecting of the mowing is done with sails that are pulled out of the vulnerable terrains with a tractor winch. With a view to a time-efficient execution, this pick-up work is supported where and when possible by the use of a single-axle tractor equipped with a pick-up rotor with which…

… the mowing can be laid sideways on swath and can also be absorbed and moved forward without bottom contact. First mowings on newly furnished or heavily degrown plots can be carried out on the basis of directing hours (see below). During the execution of the works, at least one permanently present team manager must have demonstrable experience in nature management and sufficient knowledge of plant species to correctly recognize the target vegetation, protected species and elements to be saved in the site and to adjust the implementation accordingly.
