The components of the overall installation are shown in Figure 1 of the tender specifications. The plant must essentially consist of a substrate storage, an anaerobic stirring boiler reactor (biogas plant), a solid-liquid separation including polymer dosing plant, a reverse osmosis plant, a downstream unit for nutrient recovery as well as the required intermediate storage tanks and conveying pumps. … be designed as a continuously operated stirred boiler reactor (CSTR) with a working volume of approximately 400 L plus headspace. The entire system is realized in a 20-foot container and delivered ready for operation assembled. If it turns out during the preparation of the offer that the substrate storage exceeds the remaining installation space in containers, the substrate storage must be positioned outside the container. The external arrangement must be presented in the tender by the contractor. The offer must include in particular the control and automation technology, the plant and execution planning, the delivery, the technical documentation, the commissioning as well as the instruction and training of the operating personnel. The project is accompanied by an expert commissioned by the Aachen University of Applied Sciences. In particular, it monitors compliance with the manufacturer's obligations as well as the safety and mechanical requirements during the planning and construction of the entire system.
