What the buyer is looking for
The main objective of the project is the structural prevention of flooding in the village centre of Leisele. By giving water controlled space in open space outside the built core, damage is avoided without moving problems to other locations downstream. Location 1 - Small Retention Basin : A controlled flood area is set up in the form of a buffer basin with active level control via a sliding thrust. This measure is necessary to avoid flooding at the Izenbergestraat, where water was pushed from the upstream area towards the village centre in case of heavy precipitation. Location 2 - Large Retention Basin : At the Veurnestraat, an existing vaulted watercourse will be rebuilt in open profile. Here too, the drainage is controlled via a sliding construction, so that water is not expedited but discharged in a controlled manner when it is safe to do so downstream. The works include: all kinds of works, relief changes, detailed dewatering, local construction pavements and green construction and management
