Tactics

When this buyer has awarded in this sector, usually only one or two bids came in. A solid bid has a real chance here. (Based on 4 completed awards — not a statement about this procedure.)

This procedure allows 23 days between publication and deadline — typical in this country is 32 (median of 1,471 procedures). Much tighter than usual: the first week counts.

Foreign bidders

In Finland · Laboratory & optical equipment, 98 contracts went to foreign companies over the last 3 years (of 1,250 recorded awards) — mostly from Germany, Poland, France.

Submission language: English.

Measured from linked award data; foreign winners bidding through a local subsidiary count as domestic — the true share is higher.
