… form of a DBFMO agreement, a long-term agreement that includes both the design, construction, financing, maintenance and operation for (in principle) a minimum of 30 years. Such a duration is justified in view of the need to leave the possibility to realise the capital gains inherent in a DBFMO formula, such as the taking into account of the life-cycle cost by the Contractor, and to achieve an effective transfer of construction risks.
