The scope of services includes in particular: • civil engineering works, including the production, storage and dismantling of excavation pits and installation systems, as well as the restoration of surface fixtures, • dismantling of existing heating ducts, pipelines and shaft structures, and • new construction and conversion of shaft structures, including installation of structures. The construction project is divided into seven construction phases and comprises the dismantling of around 800 m of existing district heating route as well as the relocation of around 1,000 m of district heating pipelines of various dimensions. In addition, several shaft structures will be renovated, rebuilt or dismantled, as well as numerous system transitions and grid connections. Particular requirements are the maintenance of the heat supply during the entire construction period through operational above-ground pipes. At the same time, traffic guidance and accessibility for residents, traders, pedestrians and cyclists must be ensured. Due to numerous parallel infrastructure projects in the project environment, close coordination with authorities, utilities and project participants is required. In order to minimize the impairments, it is planned to carry out several construction phases at the same time.
