II stage of conservation works on the renovation of the school building in Solec nad Wisłą

The facades of the building have a simple horizontal division in a classic layout. Wooden window and door joinery. A drainage and illumination ditch is made on the side of the rear, north-west façade and front part. Existing state description: The current technical condition of the building requires a number of renovation works. On the entire surface of the facade, the plasters are cracked, in many places they have detached. The facade is disfigured by stains, stains and discoloration, the entire surface is covered by an atmospheric coating. The architectural detail has been damaged in many places, secondary repainting is visible. Sheet metal treatments protecting cornices and window sills are destroyed, rusted and bent, so they have ceased to properly perform their protective function. These damages contribute to the constant dampness of the walls. Window joinery in a state eligible for replacement. On the inside strongly moistened and mushroomed. Substantive scope of the task: - renovation of the facade, including replenishment of plaster defects and reconstruction of architectural details while maintaining the original form and technology and painting in accordance with conservation guidelines (numerous damages in finishing and decorative layers: window bands and cornices are destroyed or detached, and the façade surfaces bear traces of intense biological and atmospheric degradation), - replacement of windows with new, wooden ones made on the model of historical joinery, moreover, in the place of the old, closed ventilation system, which disfigures the façade, a new window will be inserted, and window openings will be visually unified. - external doors, coming from the construction period of the facility, will be cleaned, secured and painted, with the simultaneous replacement of worn handles and signboards. - the attic wall crowning the front facade of the building will be reconstructed, - the roof will be renovated with the replacement of the roof covering, - the completely replaced drainage system (guns and drain pipes), currently corroded and leaking, contributing to the moisture of the walls and new sheet metal processing will be carried out. - replacement of external lighting, taking into account the aesthetics and style of the building, - interior renovation of damaged, dangerous stairs with the separation of fire zones, to increase the safety of users, - separation and execution of additional sanitary facilities on the ground floor of the building. Before carrying out painting works, the Contractor is obliged to carry out stratigraphic surveys of individual elements of the facade of the object in order to determine the historical color scheme. The results of the tests, together with the proposed colours of the façade, should be submitted for approval to the Mazovian Provincial Monument Conservator – the Delegation of the Provincial Office for Monument Protection in Radom.
