What the buyer is looking for

The project aims to replace the existing Chastillon plant which has become obsolete in order to secure the supply of drinking water to the Isola 2000 plant in a sustainable manner. The aim is to ensure continuity of service, improve the quality of the water distributed and increase production capacity while maintaining operation during the works. The future facility will be sized for a nominal production of 2,200 m3/day, or 110 m3/h, to cover peak winter and summer needs. The selected sector will have to eliminate turbidity and pathogenic germs while correcting the natural aggressiveness of mountain waters by remineralisation. The new drinking water treatment plant will have to bring together all the treatment equipment in a reinforced concrete building with a wood frame adapted to the constraints of the high mountains. The treatment chain will comprise successively: • Online clotting. •…

… A sand filtration by 2 open filters of 11.3 m2 each. • An injection of CO2. • Remineralisation on 3 limestone filters of approximately 11.5 m2 each. • UV disinfection. • Final chlorination with chlorine gas. The installation will be highly automated with supervision, remote management, operation in degraded mode and the possibility of bypassing each processing step. Finally, the project incorporates safety equipment, a photovoltaic installation and a backup generator connection.
