The aim of the research project is to close the gaps in knowledge about road safety, road safety and the need for space for cycling on gradients and inclines. At the same time, little is known about the relationship between the speed of cycling and its traffic safety, routing parameters, compatibility with foot traffic, sensitivity to unevenness, required holding visibility, driving stability and the influence of boundary markings. This means that planners lack the basics for the choice of the required latitude surcharges or the basics for the basic decision of the management form in the case of gradients and inclines. As part of a research project, possible correlations between longitudinal inclination, length of longitudinal inclination and the resulting speed must therefore be investigated. On the basis of the speeds, the effects on the above-mentioned aspects are to be determined. On the basis of the research results, reliable recommendations for the regulations are to be formulated.
