In the context of current requirements for the assessment of transport infrastructure measures, in particular with regard to environmental effects, future developments of the vehicle fleets and other sustainability aspects, there is a need for further development of the existing assessment approaches. The aim of the research project is to develop a systematic and comprehensive procedure for the assessment of the profitability of measures for the temporary side strip release. The procedure should be compatible with the methodological manual for the Federal Transport Route Plan 2030 and allow a comparison of TSF measures with a regular full expansion.
