What the buyer is looking for

The Albert I avenue (N34) forms the main connection between Nieuwpoort-Bad and Nieuwpoort-Stad and is part of the coastal axis that connects the various coastal municipalities. The route between the Louisweg and the Elisalaan is located in a highly urbanized and tourist-oriented environment with a high concentration of homes, shops, catering facilities and recreational functions. As a result, the road has an important local accessibility function for Nieuwpoort-Bad. In the past, a first phase of the reconstruction was already carried out, namely the section of the Albert I avenue between the intersection with the Louisweg and the Astridlaan. The aim of these works was to modernise the layout of the regional road, improve road safety and improve the quality of public space. As a result of this intervention, a high-quality and contemporary design has already been realized on the Albert I…

… avenue east of the Louisweg, including the intersection with the Louisweg. However, the connecting section between the Louisweg and the Elisalaan still shows a different layout. This results in a lack of uniformity in the design of the regional road, both in terms of road profile, bicycle and pedestrian facilities and public domain. In addition, the high traffic pressure during tourist peak periods causes conflicts between motorized traffic, cyclists and pedestrians. The many side street connections, crossing movements and functions along the road reinforce this problem. Furthermore, the environment represents important investments in underground infrastructure. In summary, the central challenge is to extend the already realized reconstruction between Louisweg and Astridlaan to the section up to the Elisalaan, so that a uniform, traffic-safe and qualitative design is created for all road users, while maintaining the important traffic function of the Albert I avenue within Nieuwpoort-Bad, while maintaining the existing tram infrastructure, with the exception of the tram stop "Ijzerstraat". The services include: • carrying out a topographic survey • looking up the boundaries of the public domain • drawing up a preliminary design and corresponding approved project note • drawing up a technical design superstructure • drawing up a technical design of sewers (GS) • organising coordination meetings • organising coordination meetings in connection with the layout of design collector Aquafin • organising design test slots • support in communication (profile communication expert) • printed matter in the context of communication (GS) For a detailed description of the subject of the contract, reference is made to the technical provisions.
