The works will take place in the province of West Flanders in the municipality of Diksmuide. The location of the plots on which works are planned is shown in the attached maps. The works will take place in a Special Protection Area (SPA). The site was designated by the European Union as a Habitats Directive area and is part of the Natura 2000 network. As a result, a number of vegetations and habitats are protected in addition to a whole list of rare animal species (species and habitats of the Habitats Directive). These works are aimed at restoring these Natura 2000 habitats.
