What the buyer is looking for
In the context of the National Climate Initiative (NKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), DB InfraGO AG’s ‘Bike & Ride Offensive’ supports municipalities in expanding bicycle parking facilities at railway stations. In the immediate vicinity of train stations, new storage facilities for bicycles are to be created at numerous locations. The aim is to facilitate the transition from cars to bikes and rides by making stations more responsive to the needs of cyclists and offering sufficiently safe and well-structured parking spaces. In order to be able to realize the planned capacities quickly and efficiently, extensive standardization of both the processes and the bicycle parking facilities is planned. … for tenders in an open procedure for the award of a framework contract. The subject of the envisaged framework contract is the manufacture, delivery and on-site installation of the standardised types of plant, in particular in-line ironing systems (high-low adjusters, single- and double-sided) and double-deck parking systems (high-low adjusters, single- and double-sided). This opens up the possibility for municipalities as future purchasers to call up services for the delivery and assembly of standardised bicycle parking facilities directly from the framework contract. The aim is to significantly reduce the tendering costs as well as the planning and assembly costs at municipal level and to accelerate the implementation of the measures. So far, municipalities have registered with around 1,000 stations as part of the Bike & Ride offensive and have expressed their interest in creating additional bicycle parking facilities. The new facilities have already been erected at over 300 stations. Note: Already at the beginning of 2025, a four-year framework contract was concluded with Kienzler Stadtmobiliar GmbH for the supply and construction of standard bicycle collection locking systems and canopies. The bicycle parking facilities provided for in this invitation to tender must be compatible with the systems of the said supplier. The corresponding dimensions are defined in Annex 6 to the procurement documents. The Bike+Ride offensive is a comprehensive support offer for municipalities. DB InfraGO AG supports in the form of consulting, area search and provision as well as tendering of framework contracts for bicycle parking facilities. The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) offers municipalities financial support for projects of the Bike+Ride offensive as a separate funding priority within the municipal directive, which is part of the National Climate Initiative (NKI). The NCI is currently limited in duration until the end of 2027, an extension beyond 2027 is possible, but not yet decided. Technical information and drawings on the standard system types (bike collection locking systems and canopies) can be found under the following link: https://bikeandride.bahnhof.de/bikeandride/The 5 standard facilities. A framework contract will be concluded per lot. Termination option: An option to unilaterally terminate the client at the end of the second or third year of the term is agreed. The client will give notice of termination no later than 3 months before the end of the second or third year of the term. Specific contracts that have already been concluded shall remain unaffected by the termination of the framework contract. · In the context of the National Climate Initiative (NKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), DB InfraGO AG’s ‘Bike & Ride Offensive’ supports municipalities in expanding bicycle parking facilities at railway stations.
