NDR is a public broadcaster in Germany. He produces and broadcasts programs for television, radio and online services in the northern German states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. One of the tasks of the production directorate is to ensure that the terrestrial transmitter systems operate as smoothly as possible. In order to be able to operate a resilient DAB+ network, an accident concept was developed, which will be presented below. … network). This data is generated centrally in the Playout Center (POC) and transmitted to the transmitter locations as EDI data streams. The transmission takes place via rented data lines. The NDR has no influence on the components of this transmission system. Therefore, the NDR must assume that this network will not be available in the event of a disaster. The same applies to our NDR IT network, which is an independent data connection for networking network hardware in the NDR. This includes, for example, the management and monitoring systems for the transmitter network. It must therefore be assumed that the locations cannot be reached by normal means in the event of an accident and are therefore controllable. The following interfaces exist: The outputs on the playout (main and backup) as well as the inputs on the transmitter are executed in the form of a network interface (LAN) via RJ45.
