Kalmar Vatten AB (KVAB) invites suppliers to participate in an exciting and future-oriented procurement with a focus on developing new solutions for a safe and sustainable drinking water supply. In light of future challenges with reduced access to raw water, KVAB intends to rent a pilot plant for advanced water treatment for a period of two years. The plant will be located at the newly built Kalmarsund plant in Kalmar and used to investigate the possibilities of recycling treated wastewater to drinking water quality. The pilot plant will include several advanced treatment steps, such as ozone ringing, reverse osmosis, etc. The project is carried out with the support of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and Region Kalmar County.
