What the buyer is looking for

The subject of the procurement is the procurement of a building services contractor for the implementation of the building services complex of Malmi's new hospital, family centre and health and wellbeing centre as part of the alliance organisation of the project. The building services contractor works in cooperation with other project parties and is responsible for the design, development and implementation of the building services solutions for the project, both during the development phases and during the implementation phase. The new building will be connected to the current Malmi Hospital (Talvelantie 6) and is planned to be completed in stages by 2035. Malmi's new hospital is a rehabilitation-promoting hospital that treats patients in need of acute geriatric and surgical follow-up treatment. There will be about 200 new nurses. The hospital area also takes into account the potential…

… scope for future expansion. A therapy centre promoting versatile rehabilitation is planned in connection with the hospital, which will focus on rehabilitation robotics, for example. The technology is also used in the further rehabilitation of already discharged patients. Construction and the implementation of building services work are carried out in stages. The current hospital, including HUS's emergency services and laboratories, will continue to operate normally throughout construction. Malmi Health Station will also continue its operations until the new replacement facilities are completed. The facilities of the Family Centre and the Health and Welfare Centre are located in the same building as the new hospital. The total scope of the project assessed in the Needs Decision is approximately 77 000 brm2. The estimated scope of the technical building work is approximately EUR 52 000 000. A single alliance agreement will be drawn up for the project and the different phases of the project will be implemented by separate phase-specific orders. The more detailed content of the contract and the comparison criteria are described in the preliminary tender documents annexed to the contract notice.
