The subject of the contract is the supply and transport of unwashed salt of road networks (bulk), amounting to approximately 7,100 tons, with a maximum price, per tonne, of 100,00 € (excluding VAT), which will meet the conditions and requirements of the current legislative provisions, to facilitate the circulation of vehicles and to address emergency needs from any snowfall – frosts on the national and provincial road network, under the responsibility of the Region of Epirus, for the months of March-April 2027 and for the winter periods 2027-2028 & 2028-2029. Salt is the usual anti-freeze material, used in the winter maintenance of roads. It is used proactively to avoid creating a layer of snow or ice on the road, but also to melt an existing layer of snow or ice. … content of the salt does not exceed 5%. The total estimated value of the contract is € 710 000.00 excluding VAT. A detailed description of the physical and financial object of the contract is given in ANNEX I to the relevant call for tenders. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the criterion of the most economically advantageous tender, exclusively on the basis of price. The delivery of the lots will take place no later than 24 hours, after the telephone order of the competent service of the Region of Epirus, any day and time (including weekends and holidays), under any weather conditions, without additional financial burden.
