The object of the contract is the execution and exclusive exploitation of public regular urban and interurban road passenger transport, - as well as accompanied parcels of more than 10 kg or unaccompanied parcels - by buses in the Region of Thessaly and in particular on the network reflected in ANNEX IV to this Declaration through a concession contract for public passenger transport services, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4974/2022 and in particular Chapter E thereof, as well as Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007. … exclusive right to operate public scheduled urban passenger transport by bus in the Region of Thessaly’, with an estimated value of EUR 115 000 000.00 plus VAT (i.e. EUR 11 500 000 per year for ten (10) years). The estimated value of the contract totals EUR 449 000 000.00 excluding VAT at 13% (estimated value including VAT: € 507.370.000.00). Including an option, if exercised under the terms and conditions of Article 4(4) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007, the estimated value of the contract may amount to EUR 673.500.000,00 excluding 13 % VAT (estimated value including VAT: €761,055,000.00). The duration of the contract is set at ten (10) years for each Department, from the date of commencement of the provision of transport services as will be specified in the contract, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 6.2 of this Notice. It is possible to extend the duration of the contract, at the discretion of the contracting entity, for up to five (5) additional years exclusively under the terms and conditions of Article 4(4) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007 and in accordance with European Commission Notices 2014/C 92/01 and 2023/C 222/01 on interpretative guidance for Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007.
