The facility enables the reproducible production of established standard radiopharmaceuticals and forms a central component of routine patient care and the development of new applications. Module b) is also used for the automated production of radiolabelled medicinal products. In addition, chromatographic purification is required for certain, in particular complex radiolabelled medicinal products. For this purpose, the plant has an integrated purification system (semi-preparative HPLC), which separates the desired radioactive active ingredient from secondary and starting materials. As a result, the drug can be produced in the purity required for later use. The combination of production and purification in one system enables a safe and standardized production process.
