Due to spatial and technical inadequacies, various training modules, which are an integral part of the training, have been increasingly distributed over time to other locations in Munich and partly also across Bavaria. For example, rescue medical training, computer training, altitude rescue training and group leader training. The training buildings on the site are technically outdated and are partly at the end of their life cycle. They have functional limitations or simply offer too little space. This situation, which is deficient on several levels, is to be remedied with the new fire brigade school. A concept for the technical equipment including the necessary basics must be developed in cooperation with the various specialist planners and in accordance with the content specifications of the user requirements program. The technical functional surfaces must be designed and economically dimensioned in accordance with the resulting requirements. They must be brought in accordance with the overall design and divided and allocated according to the areas of use. The aim is to develop an integrated project for architecture, building physics, sustainability and building services. For summer thermal insulation, ventilation, air conditioning and the precautions regarding heavy rain events and water management, architectural as well as technical solutions must be combined to form a common, holistic concept.
