What the buyer is looking for
The City of Loviisa requests an offer for the Svartholma service package on the basis of the concession contract. Svartholma is a historic sea fortress located on the island of Svartholm, about 10 kilometres from the centre of Loviisa. A significant cultural-historical fortress was built in the 18th century as part of the defence system of the Gulf of Finland. The island and its historical fortress is a popular tourist destination. The subject of the right of use is the provision of café-restaurant services produced in Svartholma as part of the contracted service package, which includes, in addition to café-restaurant services, marketing and co-development in the Svartholma area as well as the care of the museum and exhibition space. … which there is an option for one (1) year. The first period runs from 1.5.2027 to 30.9.2027 and the last period before the option runs from 1.5.2030 to 30.9.2030. The option is valid for the period 1.5.2031-30.9.2031. With the Svartholma café-restaurant concession agreement, the City of Loviisa aims for a comprehensive quality service experience that supports the island's attractiveness as a tourist destination, an archipelago transport hub and a cultural-historical environment. The aim is that the Service Provider's activities support the revitalisation of the area, serve the customers of the marina, participate in the events of the archipelago and work in cooperation with the City of Loviisa, Metsähallitus, the National Board of Antiquities, Visit Kotka-Hamina / the cooperation partner currently Cursor Oy and the island operator. Café-restaurant activities are seasonal from 1 May to 30 September. The café-restaurant service concept must provide high-quality, attractive and brand-supporting services that are based on a bistro-type, high-quality, but approachable concept. The aim is to offer high-quality, affordable and tasty food and drink in a unique environment, taking into account the needs of different visitor groups. As a whole, the service package supports the island's identity and the brand to be strengthened. A more detailed description of the subject of the contract is attached to the invitation to tender (Description of the subject of the contract, Annex 1). The procurement is subject to a written contract with one service provider.
