With the exception of animals injured in road accidents, which is governed by a separate contract, 8) takeover of homeless animals under the care of the previous Contractor providing services in this area (approx. 70 items) by 31 December 2026 9) ensuring the necessary veterinary care for kept animals at all times, inter alia by: a) carrying out quarantine, i.e. isolation and veterinary observation of a newly admitted animal for a period of at least 14 days, b) administering pharmaceuticals to remove internal and external parasites, c) administering pharmaceuticals in the form of vaccines as indicated by a veterinarian for a given animal, d) ensuring the care of a veterinarian for an animal in a manner consisting in taking at all times all necessary actions to protect the animal against threats to its life, health and treatment for the purpose of recovery and fitness, e) obligatory sterilization or castration of detained animals after the quarantine period and qualification for treatment by a veterinarian, f) sedating blind litters of animals delivered to a shelter or during sterilization procedures, g) chipping (electronic marking) of animals sent for adoption, h) humanely sedation of animals in accordance with the applicable regulations based on the opinion of a veterinarian, i) keeping medical records of detained animals, 10) actively searching for owners for homeless animals staying in a shelter The Contractor by posting on shelter websites, including on community portals (in their case), announcements concerning all animals under the care of the Contractor, together with a photograph and an indication of their approximate age, breed, sex, disposition and current update of the data posted (at least once a month), within 30 days of the animal’s arrival at the shelter, 10) active search for owners for homeless animals staying at the Contractor’s shelter by posting on the shelter’s websites, including social networks under his responsibility (if they are run), announcements concerning all animals under the care of the Contractor, together with a photograph and an indication of their approximate age, breed, sex, disposition and current update of the data posted (at least once a month), within 30 days of the animal’s arrival at the shelter.
