De VRH wil een raamovereenkomst met één leverancier afsluiten voor de aanschaf van uitrukkleding brandweer en de daarbij behorende dienstverlening tijdens de periode van samenwerking. Met uitrukkleding wordt bedoeld de broek en jas die de brandweer draagt tijdens een incident, met optioneel de toebehoren. Deze kleding moet daarom minimaal voldoen aan de EN 469:2020 normen, X2, Y2 en Z2. De medewerkers zijn divers in maatvoering en geslacht, de kleding moet voor alle medewerkers passend beschikbaar zijn. De VRH verstrekt per medewerker in de operationele dienst twee persoonlijke pakken. De pakken moeten bescherming geven tijdens brandbestrijding (warmte) maar ook een basis bescherming bieden tegen chemicaliën en invloeden van buitenaf. Draagcomfort, zichtbaarheid en uitstraling zijn van belang. De VRH kiest voor een losse jas en broek met bretels in de goudgele kleur en wil aansluiten op de Huisstijl uitrukkleding brandweer Nederland. De intentie is om alle ongeveer 850 operationele medewerkers van twee nieuwe pakken te voorzien. Gedurende de looptijd zullen bestellingen geplaatst worden voor nieuwe medewerkers, vervanging bij schade, slijtage of andere noodzaak.
