Provincie Utrecht heeft de ambitie om het VRI-areaal veilig, duurzaam, toekomstbestendig en functioneel te houden om de verkeersveiligheid en doorstroming te waarborgen. Hiervoor is Provincie Utrecht voornemens een aanbesteding in twee percelen op de markt te zetten om te komen tot een of twee marktpartijen waarmee een overeenkomst wordt gesloten om de VRI’s te vervangen. De hoeveelheden zijn per perceel opgenomen in respectievelijk Bijlage 1b Bestek VRI 2027 – 2031 perceel 1 Levering VRI-automaten (TLC) en Bijlage 1c Bestek VRI 2027 – 2031 perceel 2.
