El objeto del presente contrato tiene por objeto regular en dos facetas diferenciadas el bienestar animal en el término municipal de Alcalá de Guadaíra: a) Por un lado, las condiciones que deben regir en la contratación del servicio de recogida, albergue, adopción y eliminación de animales de compañía o de renta abandonados, perdidos o muertos que se encuentren en la vía pública o en espacios públicos, así como la retirada, transporte, custodia y manutención temporal de aquellos especímenes de animales abandonados o extraviados que estén en situación de provocar algún problema de seguridad o salud pública; y b) Por otro lado, el compromiso del Ayuntamiento de Alcalá de Guadaíra, de alcanzar el máximo nivel de protección y bienestar de los animales y favorecer la responsabilidad y concienciación de la ciudadanía en la defensa y preservación de las colonias felinas, unido a la obligatoriedad que se establece por normativa en la Ley 7/2023, de 28 de marzo.
