What the buyer is looking for
The Smart Screening Lanes (SSL) project is a strategic initiative to modernise the security control process for passengers and cabin baggage at Brussels Airport through the implementation of new security scanners, CT/ATRS technology and associated systems, in line with future EU aviation safety requirements for passenger and cabin baggage screening equipment. To enable the installation of the new screening lanes, the existing Connector building needs to be adapted. The work package of the contractor includes (not exhaustive): • Structural work to support the changed passenger flows, possibly including the integration of stairs and escalators between the different floors of the Connector; • Upgrade technical installations, including HVAC, to meet indoor climate standards and improve the future-proofing of the Connector building. • Update of fire safety systems
