IE invites Applicants to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a Qualification System (QS) for Railway Bridge Assessments, at various locations throughout the IE Rail Network. Those companies successfully appointed to the QS will receive all future tender enquiries. Background Information: Iarnród Éireann has an aging infrastructure with approximately 3000 railway bridges. These bridges transport cars and trucks (bridges known as overbridges) as well as railway traffic (bridges known as underbridges). … maintain safety. Hence, Iarnród Éireann wishes to invite tenders for consideration for the provision of qualified and experienced engineering consultants to aid in the assessment of our railway bridges and to advice on route clearances for our rolling stock. We require consultants that can undertake all Level bridge assessments as defined in the PQQ document. IE may issue ad-hoc tenders from this QS to the qualified companies; however it is intended that a multi-party, multi-lot Framework Agreement will be issued from this QS to the qualified companies in the future to cover the above requirements.
