Within the procurement system, procurements are made for the needs of the entire well-being area of Lapland, and the services may be targeted at the following areas, for example: Enontekiö, Inari, Kemi, Kemijärvi, Kittilä, Keminmaa, Sodankylä, Kolari, Muonio, Pello, Pelkosenniemi, Utsjoki, Salla, Savukoski, Rovaniemi, Simo, Tervola, Tornio, Ylitornio, Ranua, Posio. Textile maintenance services refer, for example, to the washing, servicing and transport of textiles and carpets. … The services to be procured are used, for example, by hospitals, care and treatment facilities, units providing outpatient services, rescue stations and emergency care stations. In addition, residents living in home-like care units use some laundry services for their own clothes, bed linen, bed linen and interior textiles. Preliminarily planned, procurements within DPS would cover the comprehensive management of washing, forwarding and logistics services for textiles owned by the contracting entity and rented and/or shared. Tendering may concern, for example, laundry service and/or rental purchases of protective clothing for staff, patient textiles, bed linen and bed linen, cleaning textiles and other textiles, such as curtains and replacement mats. The needs expected of a dynamic purchasing system and the ways in which they are implemented are evolving and changing over time, so the aim has been to make the structure of the system flexible in order to meet the needs identified above. A preliminary and general description of the procurement within the procurement system is given in the description of the subject matter of the DPS attached to this request for participation. The procurements will be defined in more detail in the context of competitive bidding within DPS.
