… Karlsruhe, Germany. KTE bundles all dismantling activities at decommissioned nuclear test and prototype facilities and the associated disposal activities at the Karlsruhe site (KIT Campus North). The shareholder of KTE is the federally owned EWN Entsorgungswerk für Nuklearanlagen GmbH, which is mainly financed by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg. KTE employs approximately 700 of its own employees.
