Tactics

When contracts were awarded in this country and sector, usually about 4 bids came in. A normal field for this market. (Based on 1,075 completed awards — not a statement about this procedure.)

This procedure allows 728 days between publication and deadline — typical in this country is 31 (median of 876 procedures). Much more generous than usual — time for a thorough bid rather than a quick one.

Foreign bidders

In Ireland · Repair & maintenance, 38 contracts went to foreign companies over the last 3 years (of 1,219 recorded awards) — mostly from United Kingdom, Germany, France.
