Project 23.294/1 - Essen, optimization overflows Essen. The assignment includes the adaptation and extension of an existing overflow structure in Essen, located in an agriculturally valuable area. The overflow is hydraulically and structurally adjusted (including higher threshold levels) and expanded with additional construction parts. Existing parts will be demolished and replaced locally, and existing large sewage pipes will be safeguarded/adjusted locally during the works and then reconnected to the renewed overflow. In addition, the overflow is equipped with wall valves, including a real-time control (RTC) controlled element with corresponding control (control box). Finally, the necessary measures are taken to make the installation easily accessible and maintainable via an access road in semi-hardening.
