The Spui Complex in which the City Hall of the municipality of The Hague is located was completed in 1995 and many of the building-bound facilities, including the data cabling installation, come from that year. In 2025, research was carried out into the requirements for meeting the municipality's ICT objectives in the coming years. This research has shown that the current cabling (CAT5) is technically very outdated (NEN2767 condition score 5) and no longer meets the municipal standard and that essential parts are no longer available. Employees already experience nuisance at the core of the Spui, such as slow connections and faltering MS Teams conversations. … approximately 4,200 connection points and 275 kilometres of cabling. The Assignment concerns the targeted replacement of outdated data cabling at critical locations to Cat.7 data cables and the optimization of the Wi-Fi network (cables) within the Spui complex. Because this scope is inextricably linked to adjusting the SERs (Satellite Equipment Room), cabling and capacity, the assignment is supplemented by the aforementioned scope and put on the market as a whole. The scope of the Assignment consists of the following: Replacing the existing Cat.5 Fast-Ethernet cabling for Cat.7 cabling; Replace the connectivity (outlets) in the workplaces; Installation of patch panels in the Main Equipment Room and SERs; Numbering of the outlets and patch panels; Testing and certification based on 10Gb over max. 100mtr for Cat.7; Explicitly outside the scope of the Assignment are the following activities: Replace any active equipment; Electrical installation including sockets; The available execution period for the execution of the Assignment is approximately 12 months, from the assignment to the final delivery date on 31 January 2028.
