… habitat types maps involve delineating and updating nitrogen-sensitive habitat types. This also concerns both office work and field checks. The results are supplied as a guess file with accompanying explanatory reports, and processed by the Province of Gelderland into habitat maps for AERIUS. Currently, the national Improvement Programme for VHR-Monitoring (VVM) is working on method development for mapping nitrogen-sensitive habitat types. The results of this will also determine what the content and scope of the work on habitat type maps will look like.
