The subject of the competition is the design of a new multifunctional town house on the Republic Square in Tachov. The new building will replace the existing House of Food, whose technical condition, layout and architectural quality no longer meet the current requirements and will be demolished. The aim of the competition is to find a high-quality, contemporary, realistic architectural design that will bring social and cultural benefits, give new impulses to the city center, strengthen its attractiveness, contribute to the cultivation of space and naturally build on the character of the historical environment of the urban heritage zone. … for the urban monument zone into which it enters, and create a natural part of the cultural memory layer of Tachov. The selected participant resulting from the design competition will then be awarded a complete contract for the processing of all phases of the project documentation and the necessary related services, which are a condition for the successful implementation and operation of the city house, while optimizing the costs and quality of the construction with regard to its life cycle. The contracting authority presupposes the execution of the contract immediately after the completion of the design contest.
