What the buyer is looking for
The Energy Efficient Design (EED) process is intended to ensure that the Contracting Authority’s capital projects are conducted in accordance with objective and methodical protocols and procedures. The overall EED process comprises organisational measures, processes, guiding principles and control mechanisms to be implemented during the design of projects, with the targets of (i) reducing the lifecycle energy consumption and GHG emissions of the building when in use and (ii) achieving a building that is Carbon Zero Ready (i.e., a building that will be carbon zero when the electrical grid decarbonises).
