What the buyer is looking for
The Municipality of Zaanstad wants to renew the existing DRIS. Flagpole displays should be replaced with the possibility to reuse the existing masts. Abridisplays wants to replace the municipality with E-ink displays in a stop sign that can be attached to a mast or on a (stop)post. At Zaandam station and the ‘De Vlinder’ junction, the DRIS will be renewed. The Municipality receives a subsidy from the Amsterdam Transport Region for the renewal of displays, but has to pay for the maintenance itself. The grant requires completion by 30 September 2027. At Zaandam and De Vlinder station, the DRIS is being renewed as part of improving the wayfinding (6 overview displays for Zaandam station and 1 overview display for De Vlinder).
