What the buyer is looking for
The collective agreement for the conversion of charges for the leasing of bicycles in the municipal public service (TV bicycle leasing) entered into force on 1 March 2021. TV bicycle leasing provides the basis for employees to be able to convert part of their monthly fee for leasing a bicycle in the future. The district of Aurich would therefore like to open up the possibility of bicycle leasing to its employees and civil servants; the offer is voluntary for the employees of the district of Aurich. Employees tax the monetary advantage on a monthly basis at 0.25% of the gross list price. The salary conversion is tax-free (§ 3 No. 37 EstG); there are also no pro rata social security contributions to be paid. This tax regulation applies to bicycles and pedelecs/eBikes (motor support up to 25 km/h).
