What the buyer is looking for

The target of the procurement is a simulation system (AV system) for the Hippos Centre of Excellence in Jyväskylä, to be used by the Wellbeing Unit of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, to be completed in 2027, mainly for educational purposes. The simulation system must cover all the devices and software listed in the call for tenders. In addition to the actual simulation spaces, the simulation environment covers all learning spaces on two (2) floors and the control rooms, from which simulation situations and connections to different teaching spaces are directed. With the help of the simulation system, versatile simulation exercises resembling genuine interaction and customer situations in the social and health care sector are created for educational purposes. The purpose of the simulation system is to enable the shooting, recording and real-time guidance of teaching situations. The…

… new Hipposkeskus, which will be built in Jyväskylä, the sports capital, will offer a unique combination of exercise, hobbies and sports. The Hippos area will further strengthen Jyväskylä's position as a leading city for research and education in sports and top-level sports. Hipposkeskus consists of four (4) entities: sports centre, competence centre, ice sports centre and parking garage Hippos-Park. Construction will be carried out in stages, and the project as a whole will be completed by the end of 2027. The Wellbeing Unit of JAMK University of Applied Sciences will move to the premises of the Hippos Competence Centre, on the fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) floors. The contracting entity has previously published a procurement-related information request (585563 / Jamk - Simulation system information request) and a tender request (603116 / Jamk - Hippos competence centre simulation system). The tendering/procurement was suspended on 9 June 2026 due to material errors in the invitation to tender. The procurement is not divided into lots, as the different elements of the procurement form a functional and technical entity, the implementation of which between several suppliers would pose a significant risk in terms of compatibility, burden-sharing and schedule management. Fragmentation of the procurement would substantially increase the need for coordination and could jeopardise the proper performance of the contract. In addition, the overall solution enables the implementation of the procurement in a technically manageable and cost-effective way.
