What the buyer is looking for
Fimlab Laboratoriot Oy (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Procurement Unit’) is tendering out the sampling pipes, the pipes used for sample separation, the urine sample vessel and the urine transfer adapter for the needs of its operating area (Kanta-Häme, Central Finland, Pirkanmaa, Ostrobothnia and Päijät-Häme welfare areas). The operations of the contracting entity's owners, i.e. the wellbeing services counties, are undergoing a transformation and changes may occur, for example, in the network of branches and the need for laboratory services. The participating wellbeing services counties of Pirkanmaa, Kanta-Häme, Central Finland, Päijät-Häme and Ostrobothnia, as well as Tuomi Logistiikka Oy, can make use of the agreement between the supplier and Fimlab as specified here. For sampling tubes, a pre-barcoded (so-called pre-barcoded) type of tube is mandatory for certain sub-areas. The…

… customer intends to test these pipes in small quantities during the contract period and possibly later in stages for production use. These tubes shall meet the other minimum requirements for equivalent tubes, excluding the clear label, and shall be selected from the same supplier as bar-code-free tubes. If the Subscriber gradually switches to pre-barcoded pipes during the contract period, this will reduce the use of the non-barcoded pipe accordingly. The distribution of supplies takes place through the logistics operators of the wellbeing services counties or through Fimlab's own purchase. The distributors are the warehouse operator of the Central Finland Welfare Area, Päijät-Häme Welfare Area, Tuomi Logistics (Tampere; Fimlab, the wellbeing services counties of Pirkanmaa and Kanta-Häme) and the warehouse of the wellbeing services county of Ostrobothnia (Vaasa, Närpiö and Pietarsaari). The procurement is divided into 20 sub-areas. The tenderer may offer one or more sub-areas. One (1) Supplier is selected for each sub-area. The contract will be awarded to the successful bidder in each sub-area, if the bidder wins a competitive bidding process in several sub-areas, the sub-areas in question can be combined into the same contract. All volumes are taken into account in the total volumes of the procurement. The volumes are based on the current estimate of annual consumption. The contracting entity does not commit to fixed procurement amounts. The planned duration of the contract is 24 months +, after which it is possible to extend it for an indefinite period. The planned date of the agreement is 1 January 2027.
