Hankinnan kohteena on sähköenergian ja salkunhoitopalvelujen hankinta. Hankinta toteutetaan Sansian hallinnoimana yhteishankintana, jossa tilaajina ovat Mikkelin kaupunki, Etelä-Savon Koulutus Oy, Metsäsairila Oy, Mikalo Oy ja Mikkelin Asumisoikeus Oy. Hankinnassa sähköenergian hinta muodostuu fyysisen sähkön spot-toimituksesta, hintariskin vähentämiseksi tehtyjen tehopohjaisten hinnankiinnitysten selvityksestä, uusiutuvan sähkön alkuperätodistusten hankinnasta, toimittajan marginaalista sekä kantaverkkoyhtiö Fingridin kulloinkin voimassa olevasta tuotannon ja kulutuksen volyymimaksusta. Hankinnan määräaikainen sopimuskausi on 1.1.2029 - 31.12.2030. Sen lisäksi hankintaan sisältyy sopimusosapuolten yhteisesti päätettävä jatko-optio 1.1.2031 -31.12.2032. Tilaajien yhteenlaskettu sähköenergian hankinta on noin 38,2 GWh/vuosi. Ilmoitettu määrä on arvio, jossa esiintyy vuosittaista vaihtelua. Tilaajakohtaisia käyttöpaikkamääriä ja arvioituja sähköenergian hankintamääriä on tarkemmin kuvattu tarjouspyynnön liitteessä. Kaikki esitetyt käyttöpaikkamäärät ja volyymit ovat arvioita, eivätkä hankintayksikkö ja tilaajat sitoudu niiden mukaisiin hankintamääriin.
