Hankinnan kohteena ovat rintasyöpäseulontapalvelujen kokonaisuus sekä kliinisin perustein tehtävät oman tuotannon ylittävät mammografiatutkimukset Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialueelle. Rintasyöpäseulontoja säätelevät valtioneuvoston asetus, säteilylainsäädäntö ja viranomaisohjeet. Terveydenhuoltolain (1326/2010) nojalla Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialueen on järjestettävä alueellaan valtakunnallisen seulontaohjelman mukaiset seulonnat. Rintasyöpäseulontaan kutsuttujen henkilöiden määrä seulontavuodelta 2025 oli Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialueella yhteensä 16628. Tutkimuksiin on osallistunut n. 85 % kutsutuista. Todelliset kunkin vuoden seulontoihin kutsuttavien määrät selviävät vuosittain, kun Palveluntuottaja poimii tiedot väestörekisteristä. Hankintaan kuuluu myös kliinisin perustein tehtäviä mammografiatutkimuksia, joita tehdään noin 1100 kpl vuosittain. Osatarjoukset ovat sallittuja. Molemmat osa-alueet vertaillaan ja päätetään yhtenä kokonaisuutena. Molempiin osa-alueisiin valitaan tarjousvertailun perusteella toimittaja. Mikäli Toimittaja tulee valituksi molemmille osa-alueille, varaa hankintayksikkö oikeuden yhdistää osa-alueet samalle sopimukselle.
