Die Stadt Trier sucht einen Betreiber des Trierer Weihnachtsmarktes. Dieser soll während der gesamten Vertragslaufzeit auf einem hohen gestalterischen, organisatorischen und touristischen Qualitätsniveau durchgeführt und kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt werden. Aufgrund seiner Lage auf dem Hauptmarkt und dem Domfreihof, insbesondere im unmittelbaren Umfeld der UNESCO-Welterbestätten Dom und Liebfrauenkirche sowie weiterer kulturhistorisch besonders bedeutender Bereiche der Trierer Innenstadt, bestehen erhöhte Anforderungen an Gestaltung, Erscheinungsbild und Veranstaltungsqualität. Der Betreiber wird während der Laufzeit der Dienstleistungskonzession keine Vergütung für die Organisation und Durchführung des Marktes erhalten. Ihm wird das Recht gewährt, von den Markthändlern Vergütungen für die Teilnahme am Weihnachtsmarkt zu verlangen. Der Betreiber trägt das wirtschaftliche Betriebs- und Verwertungsrisiko.
