Hankkeessa toteutetaan valtion eri virastojen yhteinen työympäristö (jäljempänä YTY) 15 + 2 valtion asiakkaalle. Toteutettava alue koostuu rakennuksen A- ja osin B-osasta. Virastojen uudet yhteinen asiakaspalvelutila (=Suomi-piste) sijoittuu rakennuksen ensimmäiseen kerrokseen ja kokouskeskus toiseen kerrokseen. Yhteiset työtilat sijoittuvat kerroksiin 2–4. Kellarikerroksessa on sosiaali-, varastotiloja sekä siivous- ja maastovarustetilat. Hankelaajuus on kokonaisuudessaan n. 5930 htm2. Toimistotilat on suunniteltu nykyisiä tiloja mahdollisuuksien mukaan hyödyntäen. Suunnitellut muutokset edellyttävät taloteknisiä muutoksia ilmanvaihto-, vesi- ja viemärijärjestelmiin sekä uutta sähkö- ja atk-tekniikkaa ja nykyisten järjestelmien kuten mm. turvatekniikan ja kulunvalvonnan täydentämistä. YTY hanke poikkeaa luonteeltaan perinteisestä toimistotilamuutoshankkeesta. Useiden asiakkaiden tarpeiden yhdistäminen toimivaksi kokonaisuudeksi vaatii kaikilta osapuolilta laajaa yhteistyökykyä, eri asioiden, tarpeiden ja näkemysten huomioimista. Muutostyöt toteutetaan 4 vaiheessa, jokaisen vaiheen välissä kalustetaan ja varustetaan valmistuneet tilat. Neljä käyttäjäorganisaatiota toimii tiloissa koko remontin ajan väistäen tiloista toisiin. Myös rakennuksen toinen siipi on käytössä 24/7 joten käyttäjien ja kiinteistön tarvitsemat järjestelmät tulee toimia katkottomasti koko hankkeen ajan.
