… and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on a so-called blackhole (black hole) so that these attacks run into the void. This avoids that such IT attacks have an impact on the Internet lines and services as well as the connected DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone as a security transition) including the downstream IT SysBw network. The blackholing process is a provider process that is bound to the respective provider technology. The service itself is provided without exception in the IT infrastructure of the same ISP.
