Kesko is tentatively committed to the grocery trade project package located in the station area, covering an area of approximately 3,000-8,000 k-m2. The project agreement between the City of Akaa and the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency prepares the planning of the underpass under the Toijala railway yard and the related track, street and traffic arrangements. The project agreement concerns the design until the completion of the construction design, but not yet the construction or construction of the project. Based on the City of Akaa's decisions and the available feasibility study, the underpass option based on the Hämmeentie-Holkerintie connection has been selected for further planning. According to the contracting entity's preliminary plan, the procurement is likely to be carried out as a negotiated procedure in accordance with the Act on Public Procurement and Concessions. The contracting entity reserves the right to specify the selection of the procurement procedure as the preparation of the procurement progresses.
