Due to upcoming extensive construction work on the Moritzburg object as part of a special investment programme financed by the federal and state governments, which will extend over about 3-4 years, it was decided, after careful consideration and discussion, to completely vacate the museum town of Moritzburg, i.e. to move almost all art objects and all offices as well as all related equipment into an interim. At the end of the construction-related period 2031/32, the new central depot as a collection center of the Kulturstiftung Sachsen-Anhalt is to be completed and ready for occupancy.
