Since fisheries are a strategic branch of the economy in the Republic of Croatia, and in order to achieve the sustainable development of fisheries, its economic, environmental and social role and the objectives of the fisheries policy, it is necessary to carry out surveillance and control of the internal fishing sea, which includes internal sea waters and the external fishing sea, which covers the territory of the territorial sea of the Republic of Croatia and the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Croatia. The length of the ship as a whole shall be at least 55m, the width shall not be less than 9m and shall be provided with accommodation for at least 30 persons.
